To get started, read the overview in the on-line help file. Right-click the Alarm++ icon in the system tray and select Help.
Open the Alarm++ main window by left-clicking the mouse on the Alarm++ icon in the system tray.
Alarm++ automatically opens the most recent database when it starts. Use Setup | Options to change this.
You can specify an alarm database for Alarm++ to open when it runs. Refer to the "Customize Alarm++" topic in the help file.
If you want Alarm++ to open the main window whenever it starts, add "-show" to the Alarm++ shortcut's command line.
Find out how to register Alarm++ on the Web site -- select the Help | "12noon Web Site" command.
Create templates for types of alarms that you create often. For example: meetings, backups, lunch dates, Web sites, and doctor appointments. They can each have different default settings.
Wake up to your favorite MP3 or video. Specify the media file on the alarm's Media property page.
Use the Setup | Workdays command to specify certain days of the week (or the year) as workdays or vacation days.
Enable e-mail support by specifying a mail profile to use (or none at all) with the Setup | Options command and the Mail page.
Use the e-mail feature to automatically request package tracking information from carries such as UPS, FedEx, and the USPS.
Avoid the Mail Profile dialog at startup by specifying a mail profile to use (or none at all) with the Setup | Options command and the Mail page.
Right-click on the Alarm++ tray icon for a menu of commands.
Double-click on the Alarm++ tray icon to create a new alarm.
Create an alarm that goes off only on certain months. See the Advanced tab for details.
Create an alarm to use a Microsoft Agent, such as Peedy the Parrot, to speak your alarms out loud. See the included Examples.alarm alarm file and the samples on the Web site for details.
Activate (or test) an alarm (with the Edit | Test command) without affecting the number of remaining events.
Create an alarm that goes off only on certain weekdays. See the Advanced tab for details.
Cancel a snoozing alarm with the Edit | Cancel Snooze command.

Use the Advanced page to specify that an event only occurs on workdays -- and whether it should skip workdays or move to the next one.

Right-click on an alarm in the main window for a menu of commands that apply to that alarm.
Select certain weeks of the month for an alarm to repeat by selecting the checkboxes on the Advanced tab.
Double-click on an empty area in the main window to create a new alarm (or template).
Create an alarm to open your Internet browser to a specific Web site. Simply enter the URL in the alarm's Run page.
Drag and drop a file onto an alarm's Run page to enter its path in the "Open" field.
Test the application you have specified an alarm to run by pressing the Test button on the alarm's Run page.
Specify that the selected application run only when you press the Off button and many other options.
Drag and drop the column headers in the main window to rearrange the columns.

Drag and drop a sound file onto an alarm's Sound page to enter its path in the "Sound file" field.
Visit the Web site by selecting the Help | "12noon Web site" command or by clicking on the Web site address in the About window.
Send an e-mail to Sales by clicking on the e-mail address in the About window.
Select certain months for an alarm to repeat by clicking the month checkboxes on the Advanced tab.
Copy/paste alarms into other applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Notepad, etc., for printing, sorting, whatever.
Use the included Alarm++ Excel spreadsheet to arrange your alarms' information into columns.
Select certain weekdays for an alarm to repeat by clicking the weekday checkboxes on the Advanced tab.
Write scripts (http://msdn.microsoft.com/scripting/) and use Automation to create/modify alarms in a database.

Put an alarm database on a floppy diskette to use it both at home and at work.
